Smallmouth are Biting on the Rock north of Prophetstown.
Caught this nice 16″ and a whole bunch of 12″and under.
We were floating a nightcrawler hooked through one end under a slip bobber. Anywhere there was a swirl along shore where rocks were sticking out into the water creating little eddies.
I decided to try using small circle hooks and they were working great hooking them good but I didn’t have to worry about them swallowing it in order to release them.
