Lake Koshkonong walleye bite has been awesome. Good size fish in the 15 to 19 inch range are being caught all day long. Best way to catch these fish has been trolling cranks or crawler harness or dragging jigs with half crawler in the lake around the rocks or in the mud in seven to nine foot of water. The river on the east side of the lake by Fort Atkinson is producing nice white bass right now soon to have the walleye bite right behind it. Everything is still NO WAKE unless your in the lake. Water has started to drop but it will be a while before they lift the NO WAKE.

Nice fish Jeff. We tried it for a few hours late this morning again and just worked up stream from the bypass launch. Lots of bites. Caught several white bass along with 3 short walleyes. Lost a 16-17″ walleye while I was reaching for the net and lost another one well over 20″. They seemed to like the red/black 3/8 oz. Knuckleball jig the best this morning with half a crawler. County cop was out this morning enforcing the no-wake on the river. He pulled over lots of boaters but just gave warning because it wasn’t posted at the launch, go figure! That’s probably it for me until the next weekend or two. I may have to try Monona gills with my brother tomorrow.

Thanks Gregg, here a nice fish from today. Connors friend caught this one. We had a blast this morning until the lake got pretty nasty. We all caught three fish over 17 inches.

Thanks Diesel, you know how the rock is every time you come here the bite shuts down so stay away.

Just kidding, now until ice up is time to fish this body of water. Just got to know how to fish this water and that comes with time put in .

Here’s a nice eye I caught dragging jigs in the lake.

As I told the wife one the boy is old enough to get in the boat with me, good luck seeing us the weekend. Her reply “and that is a bad thing?”

    See yall this weekend.

Just when I was getting ready to hit the Rock, Diesel’s coming to fish…..gonna stay home and work instead. Hopefully, with a big stroke of luck, I should have some time to get my priorities straightend out, and start fishing again. This once every two or three weeks just doesn’t cut it. So keep the reports coming, fellas, cuz they’re what I’m surviving on ….this work stuff’s gotta stop .

All right guys, just you wait. The fish gods have shined on you too long . Time for me to get out and play.

Z-Man has become a workaholic and is way over due for an outing. I may have to drag him out one of these weekend to shake the rust off of him (and then I will raid his jig box for talking about me .

    Only better fishing to come.

    Derek
