Been a quiet year for all. Jeff getting a new rig. Me and Z-Man too busy, Databoy without a rig for now and the list goes on. Thank goodness River-bank, Hardwater, and WeFish giving some reports.

My maiden voyage has been posponed again since I am behind in boat repairs. No to mention is sounds pretty slow now anyway.

Get that rig yet Jeff? YOU have to show some pic ya know. It is like have kid, ya gotta show it off

From what I hear and read, the river is way too high anyway, and I’m glad…..that way I’m not shedding too many tears about being way too busy to fish. The freezer’s empty (of eyes that is), the boat’s idle and collecting dust in the garage, left-over fatheads from a few weeks back are dying in my aerated bucket, and freshly picked crawlers are just hiding under the newspaper….what’s a guy to do?? (sounds like a fisherman’s blues song). but happy days are coming, fellas, so not all is lost. Do a little drag racing with Jeff on the river, when the no-wake is lifted, of course, and maybe catch a few eyes too…one of these days.

Slow? I’m still waiting for spring. Actually, I’ve been fishing the shore half an hour here and there but haven’t had much luck since my one and only fish a couple weeks ago. It’s really hard to find a spot to wet a line with the high water. My rig situation took a big twist also and may have to resort to lots of shore fishing. Like Lundman, I too have found out I have another baby on the way due about Thanksgiving time. My wife just can’t keep her hands off of me Also, my in-law got laid off from his job and is selling the pontoon we were ready to put in at Patten’s. He’ll be buying a smaller boat but I’ll have to go up north near Wausau to help him use it. I’m hoping to get a few casts in this weekend and will let you know if anything is happening. I did check hardwater’s link from NOAA and it does look like the water is going down

Haven’t got my rig yet long story but hope to have it before the bounty hunt on the 28th.
