Water dropped quickly last couple of days. Both in temp and depth. I fished this morning a stretch from Afton up towards Monterey dam. If you dont know these waters better not venture too fast as the depth changes rapidly. The walleyes didnt really want to cooperate today, caught 2 very short ones at about 9 inches. The smallmouth were on a tear though. All in the 13 to 14 inch range but boy do they put up a fight.Bait of choice – 1/32oz precision jig with a catalpa orange paddletail. Going to try to get to Kosh next week for a day before I leave for Erie.
