What’s a mud line? Don’t they taste and fillet alot like a crappie? At least they fight a little more than a crappie fluttering toward the boat. I know they do die fast once you get them out of the water so you need to clean them soon after catching them, especially when it’s warm.
Hey Jeff, sounds like a deal. The hard part is getting my dad out fishing, he’s all talk and no go. One of those very fair weather fisherman. My father-in-law would probably be more interested. Maybe if you throw in a some river crappie tactics we can give it a go. I’m usually fishing the Madison chain by May but fishing my home town river sounds like fun too. I’ve spent many childhood years fishing that river and only got an occasional white bass or carp and one tiny northern, lost tons of lures though.
