Fished downtown by Fort Launch wed 30+eyes 14 3/4 biggest,
Fri it slowed down between the two of us caught over ten all small, stopped on the way home Sat fished till I started getting wet and caught Five all Small. Saw a nice channel cat along with the usual sheeps, carps and suckers.

From watching everybody its running about Fifty little ones to a keeper only saw five keepers caught in the three days but it was great to get out.

About ten boats out each day but Sat they were dodging Trees and lots of ice waters up about 16inches with the rain and they were getting more when I left won’t be long as long as it dosen’t get cold again. Chippman

Way to kick her off for the boating season. It’ll be a while before I can get my boat out. It is almost floating in my yard and got some new toys to add to the rig.

I couldn’t take all this river chit chat any longer so I decided to drive along the river on Saturday until I could find a spot away from other shore fishers. I’m not much into crowds so rarely fish from shore so it took a little nerve to get out of the car but I’m glad I did. Once my second cast finally fell in the water, it landed on top a floating ice chunk, I hooked up and landed a 16″ male walleye on a green/glow 1/4 oz Lindy Max Gap jig and a chartreuse Lindy Munchy 3″ thumpin grub. That was it though and I only stayed about 1/2 hour because I underdressed and the wind was blowing straight into my face. I tried it for another 1/2 hour on Sunday in the same spot and landed a very pregnant 26″ northern before the rain and cold chased me away again. She’s still swimming but the eye ended up in my belly I guess I’ll have to try this shore stuff a little more until my luck runs out or I get the boat out of storage. Now I can’t wait to get out again and I’m leaving my gear in the car hoping to sneek out after work when I can. It’s hard to find that happy medium between getting my cracks at the water and not pissing off my wife. On the plus side she asked me about getting a spousal license this year – what a shock! I guess you never know what can happen if you keep planting those seeds. See you on the water.

Well since we didn’t get out on the ice much, I like the sounds of open water. My boat’s at Jerrys till this Wednesday. . I’ll be out this weekend for sure.

Hey Jeff, I finally broke down and got those nuckle ball jigs. I even got fancy and tied some bucktail to them. Pink jig with black bucktail was the best this weekend from shore. Next best was that green neon with purple bucktail tied to it. I am definitely a beleiver now. I owe ya a Lets go fishing.

I sold my place up north on Castle Rock lake this week. So now I have more time to spend on The River. Castle Rock has turned into a rich man’s spot.
Anyhow, looking forward to another great year.

May try fishing from the shore this weekend. Trying to decide to burn the fishing credits or stay home and get the boat ready. Tough decisions huh

Good luck guys and be safe all

Good day on the rock caught about 18 fish the biggest one my son caught yesterday 26″. All fish were caught on jigs and lindy rigs with fathead minnows. Water has come up and the fish are holding on little different areas on the current areas. Lots of short hits , maybe should be a using stinger hooks. Well good luck to everyone and be safe out there. We have 3/4 inch of snow up here allready and heard its starting to snoww down there. Hi Jeff good to see ya in the boat and nice kicker motor ,you take care…

Hi Mike have not been down there since tuesday . Monday and tuesday they were really on the feeding frenzy. Most of our fish were caught on jigs of varius colors and some times just sitting still is when the bigger ones hit. WELL TAKE CARE AND BE SAFE… From Jeff…
