Bait shops?

    Hey all,

    Are there any bait shops in the Fort Atkinson/Jefferson area. Bait is alway super expensive in the MKE area and many times it is not the freshest. I used to go to the barth hardware store but haven’t been there since it was sold last year.

    Any other places to get fish snackies ?

    Derek….There is a Shell station on Hwy 12 as you come into Ft Atkinson. They have minnows. About a 1/2 mile north there is a Citgo station that has some live bait.

    The wife of the guy who owned Barths set up a small equipment rental place just behind the Shell station on 12 off of Rockwell Avenue. Though I hav’nt been in there yet I assume it’s the same set up and prices as when Barths was open. The Shell station is little high on bait prices IMO.

    SA in Jefferson used to sell bait and probably still does ? Hav’nt been there in years. There’s a liquor store a block up the street ( North )from SA that sells bait as well.
