White Bass Report on the Rock River

Last week Wednesday I managed to get out fishing with Ted Peck for some white bass fishing. Ted show me some new tricks to catch these fighting fish and it was fun. I picked it up slow but by the weekend I was having a blast. I took the kids out Sunday and we caught all the bass we want and then went out trolling on the mighty Lake Koshkonong to find some walleye for the dinner plate. Jigging has slowed in the river but I’ll find that bite to turn back on in a couple weeks. While trolling we picked up a couple really small pike and one nice walleye.

anyone fishing this weekend. Saw the coast guard out Saturday. Real nice people.

Fishing is slow but did managed to catch some cat today. Trying out my new camera. By time the walleyes start biting I’ll have it figure out.

Great report and fotos Jeff! Haven’t been fishing since Sat. a.m. myself–and that was on Pool 9. Hanna & me both had to go out and harvest a few little birds of peace. Back on the Rock tomorrow
