Ok, you got me. I can’t take it anymore so sign me up. I’ll be fishing with one of the guys I won the other tourney with. I’ll email you so you can send me the registration form. Don’t like the delayed start though, is it really necessary for just 15 boats? How scattered are those start times going to be? There’s certainly an advantage for getting out first. That could deter some from signing up late. The ice better melt soon, I think that rodent in Sun Prairie was wrong this year. Guess there’s lots more time to sharpen hooks.

Nauga, check your messages. [email protected] is undeliverable. What kind of tourney are you running? Gonna take the money and run?

There is only a 20 second delay. Boat #1 leaves at 7:00am, 20 seconds later boat #2, 20 seconds later boat 3 and so on. This is for safety. We dont need 19 boats tearing up the river at once.

You should have a lottery for start times. Looks like your inner circle got the chance to register first.

In Nauga’s defense, I think he posted way at the onset that it would be first-come/first-off. But with that said, I strongly favor reverse alphabetical order, if I sign up that is.

Start times are determined by time of paid entry. I called no one in advance about the tourney. Every one responded to flyers and advertisment. Greg, would you like to swap spots with us? Would that make it seem fair to you?

Sharpened 100 jigs yesterday, getting a bit antsy. Picked up some Zonars at the show yesterday. Was good to see you Jeff. Save me a seat in your boat for some dragging lessons.

I was just trying to get your blood flowing, guess it worked! See, now your ready to kick our azz. We can live by the rules. Though it is a odd way of starting. We’ll catch most if we head across anyway. Our entry is in the mail. Can’t wait, should be lots of fun.

Anybody else want to trade bull, working and no fishing stinks and I’m getting bored.

nauger help me what is WAT and MMWS. Don’t have a problem with tourney setup. Wish there was an early weigh in though as I hope to have my weight by noon.

WAT = Walleye Anglers Trail, http://www.walleyeanglerstrail.com

MMWS = Mighty Mississippi Walleye Series
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mighty-Miss-Walleye-Series/113387162017786

Ben and I are fishing both cricuts this season for the 1st time. I set this tournament up using the WAT’S outline.

@KV56 I have no problem with an early weigh in. However,12:00 noon is pushing it. I’ll talk to my tournament offical and we will establish an official time that weigh in can begin. I’m sure it would give all participants a sense of comfort to watch eveyone else weigh in around the same time. Can you imagine if someone was to fish only a couple hours, went and weighed in all alone and then ended up winning. There would be talk of dishonesty until the end of time and we don’t need that happening. My suggestion at this point is to keep fishing in hopes of a big fish!! I recieved 2 more phone calls today inquiring about the tournament, looks like we will have an excellent turn out!!

    *FYI*
After speaking with John K. from the Anchor Inn it sounds like the Anchor will be offering breakfeast from 6:00am-7:00am for $7.00 on the morning of the tournament. Let me know if breakfeast is something that you would be interested in. I would hate to see John prepare breakfeast if only a couple people were planning on eating. If breakfeast is something that you think you would enjoy please let me know so I can pass the information on to John.

Thanks everyone, let me know if any of you have any questions along the way.

Yes, but those circuits were established and participants had advance notice.

As a 1st time participant in both the WAT and MMWS myself I was not informed in advance. I had to look on line at the rules and regs and read it for myself, just as eveyone did for this tournament. No complaints from anyone else about take off times. My opinion is as follows even though you may not hold it to any worth: The difference in take off time between Boat #1 and Boat #19 is 6 minutes allowing for a 20 second delay inbetween boats. 6 minutes in my mind is nothing to worry about. Boat #1 is Team Fin-Tech, have you ever seen those old farts move? ? It takes them 6 minutes just to put their bait on!!!! LoL

Nauga, I have to say those were not my posts. I have a buddy at work I was trying to get to enter and he’s been sitting on the fence picking your rules apart. My team is good to go and the check is in the mail – you should get it today. At this rate though it might be an ice fishing tourney, I’m not seeing significant thawing even in the extended forecast. Anyone else ready for a good hard rain?

The last time we had to compete against each other we finished 1 & 2, it’d be nice for a repeat. Though I suppose this means you won’t let me in your boat again this year or at least until the tourney’s are over and the fishing gets tough. I know how you are.

    I admire the confidence databoy!!

But…………..the competition may have stiffened up a bit since your last go around… only time will tell..

This tourney has definitly attracted some darn good fisherman, the best of the best from what I can see. I just wish T2T would join so I could pound lumps on his head and finally shut Jeff’s pie hole about him being the greatest thing god created and how he has taught him everything he knows …blah, blah, blah… and so on…. Ohhhh… did I say that…. my bad

    @ Team Fin-Tech,
Remember this is a new season, everyone starts at 0.0 lbs. Concentrate on the new season ahead and forget about that 2nd place finish in League from last season. Yeah, yeah, I know, if there would have been a couple more weeks the out come may have been different. The key words in that phrase are: IF and MAY. We all get lucky once in a while…. some just get lucky a little more often than others!!!

    Let the SMACK talking begin!!!
I love it and I love all of you. Well, not so much DataBoy but everyone else for sure!!

    Game On!!!!

…shouldn’t be long now… love your optimism but at this rate there could still be ice bergs on the lake come tourney time. Hopefully there will be at least a couple good weekends to practice before the end of April cuz I need it. I also need to squeeze in a turkey hunt early in April. I guess we should all take photos of the family before the thaw, once it comes we won’t see them for awhile.

Well, fellas, couldn’t take it any more, so sent in the entry fee earlier in the week, and registration on its way. Was hoping to be last to take off, but I guess 17th or so will be fine, unless Nauga decides to switch it to reverse alphabetical order. so you should soon see Ed and partner SWD on the roster. Now, gonna need to sharpen the skills a bit, with all the tough competition in this tourney, and get out there fishing before the 27th.
