2013 ROCK RIVER & LAKE KOSHKONONG
WALLEYE LEAGUE
The Rock River Walleye League is a Thursday night fishing league based out of The Anchor Inn Bar and Grill in Newville Wisconsin. The RRWL is the pre-eminent “Rock River Circuit” and boasts some of the finest competitive walleye fishermen in the area. The RRWL is open to all fishermen.
• The 2013 season is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 18th 2013 and will run for 12 continuous weeks. You do not have to fish all 12 weeks of the season, but if you want a shot at the league championship then it’s a good idea to fish every week.
• The cost to fish in the league is $10.00 per fisherman each week. There is also an optional weekly “big fish pot” which has a 100% payout each week, the cost to enter the big fish pot is $5.00 per fisherman. The weekly pot pays out to 1st and 2nd place, and the weekly big fish pot pays out to the heaviest walleye weighed.
• Each two man team is allowed to weigh in a maximum of 7 walleyes, the team or individual who brings in the most weight, wins. The team that accumulates the most weight throughout the 12 week season is crowned League Champions and RRWL Anglers of the Year, and also wins the end of the year pot.
• Upon arriving at the Anchor Inn you must register inside the bar. All boats will take off at the same start time. Any boats that leave early will be disqualified.
• Fishing times for the 1st three weeks of the season are from 4:30pm until 8:00pm. Fishing times for the following 9 weeks are from 4:30pm until 8:30pm.
• Your boat must be within sight of the Anchor Inn boat landing by 8:00pm the first 3 weeks of the season and by 8:30pm the last 9 weeks of the season. All fish will be weighed in immediately following the fishing end time at the Anchor Inn boat landing. The RRWL practices catch, hold, and release. All walleyes are to be released immediately following the weigh in. The weekly payout is held inside the bar approx 10 minutes after everyone has weighed in.
Come join some of the area’s best anglers and put you walleye fishing skills to the test!!!
