I got out today while my son was flying his float plane (radio-controlled) at Maple Beach. Two short walleyes, six Northern (two legals), a bunch of white bass and one bowfin (dogfish). First bowfin I have ever caught anywhere. All released to fight another day. A real nice day to be out. Picked up my FW and boated to Norm’s Hideaway for a cool one and some cheese curds. Great way to spend a day!
I had 65* when I went out on Tuesday morning at 9:30a, and it was up to 69* by 2pm when I couldn’t take the wind anymore and packed up… One dogfish in the boat, also lost two other big fish off the bottom that I never seen. Definitely fits the definition of slow…. When the water temps get into the 50*’s will help.
