May should be the one of best Months out of the year in 2011 for walleyes I predict beside October. Made it out with databoy On Sunday with windy conditions but we both managed to catch some walleyes. Here’s a nice 18″ I caught with a Zone R jig from fin-tech tackle tipped with live bait. Databoy manage most of his fish with a new secret plastic bait for Thursday night. I got some new tricks up my sleeves also.

Hope I don’t hear data ripped em up with a precision jig with a 4″ moxie Took a 18 inch with a red knucklehead and a few short hits (operator error) Have a few new crank bodies to try as I get used to the new equipment. Looking forward to May, the crappie weather not withstanding Happy opening day to all, tight lines

Guys come on, it’s bad enough we are going to fish right next to each other the next 10 weeks on Thursday so if you can’t figure out what I will be using you shouldn’t be fishing. Good luck to all tonight. Attach is a nice 20 inch walleye caught & released in Newville this week on the secret bait

Yup, see ya all tonight. Looks like another windy/cool one, unless the weatherman’s wrong. We’re overdue for one of them fair-weather fishing outings.

TNT, huh, Diesel? Now why didn’t I think of that? I wonder if they carry it in chartreuse?

I see Mr.Jayson Schenker (Mr. Fish)
was fishing our neck of the woods today. He launched downtown Fort early this morning and was hired to a guide on the mighty rock. I had an opportunity to chat fishing with him, way cool.

We fished fri,5am they are still just getting started(found it worked best to leave weight on botoom, slight slack, and watch line for light hits),fishing will only get better. We did have 1 at 16,most were 14 to 15(i have a bad habit of not taking my camera with me when i fish on someone elses boat),some smaller tossed in.same with the coho, just getting started.ive been bidding on ebay lately for set of electric downriggers for my boat.

Got out last night. Winds a lot better than Thursday night. Two shorts, 4 legals (17,18,18,19). Saw quite a few nets get used as well. All but two of the fish on Fin-techs. See ya Thursday

18 boats turn out for the Anchor Inn Walleye Tournament Saturday. Caught and released 240 keeper walleyes which the biggest was two way tie with a whopping 3.5 lbs. You could only weigh in five fish per boat, walleyes were caught trolling, vertical jigging, pitching and slopping jigging. First place went to the Fin-tech Team with weight at 13.8 lbs second place was 12.7 and third place was 12.1 and there were three or four 11 lbs bags and some 10 lbs bags – great job to all the anglers. I would like to thank John at Anchor Inn and all that helped out with this fun tournament – Thank you. Cya you all next year on May 19 2012

    Very quiet here, don’t understand

I predicted correctly for May Man this has been awesome walleye fishing in May, best ever on this body of water for me. Starting to slow but still nice fish being caught. June will be slower than May so to all anglers that didn’t take avantage of May there’s always next year. .

Has been a good May and looking forward to June. Much better than all the 14 7/8 inchers last May. Heading to the big pond to chase Coho and Steelhead Monday. Might be able to squeeze in a couple drifts late afternoon. Happy Memorial Day to IDO gang, see you on the rock.

Fished the Rock River Saturday and this morning and caught over 15 nice walleyes like in this picture. All but three were released. Most fish were caught vertical jigging 3/8 Zone R’s.

Couple big goats and a quarter-size scale, and that’s it after you left. Quit at 11:30.
