West Newton ramp

Anybody know if they are done working near the West Newton Ramp yet? We were there a couple weeks ago and they had all the tubes in the water and it was a real drag. There was one point during the day that they actually blocked off the channel from the ramp to the main channel. Made everyone go all the way around. Don’t want to go back there until they are done. But it’s kind of a nice ramp when you have kids, no stress. Thanks Kevin

Not sure if you mean the gravel landing as we call the west newton landing or if you are meaning the half moon landing, which is smaller and all blacktop.
Reason I ask is there was no drege pipes up by the west newton ramp, their all down in front of the half moon shoot. And yes they are all there now still but they have them marked well. They are blocking the shoot off but they must have sunken them as there is a marked safe passage to get through.

So they are finally cleaning out he half moon landing? That use to be great fishing from shore about 5 yrs ago. The last few times I went it was pretty sad. Hopefully that will turn it back around The kids are finally big enough to enjoy it with me!

Sorry didn’t realize there was more than one down there but it is all gravel so based on your note I would say it’s not the half moon landing. As long as the pipes and everything are gone I will perhaps try it again this weekend.
    Thanks

No they are not. Pipes are on the channel way out from the landing. It still has all the depth by the landing as it did 5 years ago. Weed growth has taken off though.
