Catch and release is working wonders. In Pool 4 of the Mississippi River we have seen weights of 35-40 lbs of walleyes [5 fish] brought in to be weighed in tournaments this spring. These fish are being released to be caught again each time. We have experienced better fishing as a result of it. And that goes to set an example of what catch and release can and will do on Lake Zumbro and any other lake or river if we all practice catch and release. Let the big bullgills and crappies go back into the lake so they can keep passing on their big genes for years to come when they spawn each year. Catch and release works. It means a much better fishery for all of us to enjoy. THANKS for doing your part.
    Thanks, Bill

There is no question Bill! We are seeing it on many lakes here in MN. Winnie is a prime example. I remember not to many years ago it was hard to come by a decent walleye. Now days with the slot limits imposed, you can catch 25″+ walleye all day long.

I think another tool for CPR is the replica mounts. Their quality is the same if not better than a real mount. There is no reason to kill a trophy fish anymore.

Well put Ruger. I have a 28.5 real walleye mount from 12 years ago. I would definitely take some good pics and release it now adays.
