Lake Zumbro Water Level

    Below is what I cut and pasted from the water level website for Lake Zumbro. The lake water level is a half foot down from normal water level. Last Friday it was down 1.6 feet so as you can see they are raising the water level. I would think it would be at normal level by the weekend.

    The Lake Zumbro Water Level was 919.53 ft., or approximately 0.5 ft. below the crest on 04/08/09 at 6:42:02 AM .

    Lake Zumbro spillway crest is 920.0 feet Dam Datum.

    RPU tries to maintain a lake level of 919.5 to 920.0 during the summer season. Normal winter pool is 918.0 to 918.5.

    Bill doesn’t fish until you sweat in the shade. He’ll rag on about hitting the water but won’t be found there himself until about August….right Bill?

    I sure do with I was fishing. Was planning to get down to Lake Zumbro this weekend but I got talked into fishing pool 4 instead. You guys please feel free to post about your outtings on the water.

    I was out last night. Crappie appear to still be deep. I marked them scattered all over the 21-24 foot range. They are not stacked up at all. Picked up a couple from out in that depth. Water temps are around 45-46 degrees.

    Thanks for the update. I spent Friday and Saturday on pool 4 and cooking the Easter meal with my kids coming over today so wasn’t able to get down this weekend. Redwing has a water temp of 44 degrees and LOTS of fishermen out on the water both days. Sure felt great being on the water with the sunny warmer days we are having now.
