After you get off the water today from fishing you will find tomorrow being a very good day to stop in at HOF and check out the ice fishin stuff for the upcoming season as they are talking 40 plus mph winds and cold along with maybe alittle rain/snow in the mix too. After that we should get back to a mixture of 40s/50s for highs again. I LOVE open water fishing but we still can’t ignore the fact that its getting to be time to stock up on what we need for the ice fishing season thats around the corner. Also we have a period that we can fish the marinas in Lake City and Red Wing off of the docks in open water after our boats get put away. This kind of fishing provides us an open water fishin fix before ice up. When the ice does start down the road awhile these same docks give us a safe place to fish from for first ice. Just bring the ice auger along and drill your holes while staying on the dock. We get our cake and eat it too so to speak.
