Ron and I had a great afternoon of fishing on Lake Zumbro yesterday. We found fish suspended over deep water, not relating to anything in particular. We just kept moving around until we found them. Mini-mite jigs tipped with a waxie produced all the fish. Colors included purple, glow, clear glitter. The fish were marked at almost all depths, but the ones we caught were suspended less than 10 ft. down over water up to 30 ft. The size of these fish was very good with most crappies over 11 inches and most gills over 8 inches. We each kept a good meal and released lots of fish. The weather was great and there were not many skiers causing waves. It was a real fun day to be out on the Zum!
