Multispecies fishing in & near Rochester is great! numerous reports of panfish being caught on slip float rigs w/ live bait & or small jig & plastics. Small mouth action has been excellent on area rivers that hold them. Great roughfishing to be had…nice carp in the 30″ class are being caught on bait and fly. suckers, bullies, and redhorse, and the occasional Esox round out it out with random reports in various locations. channel cats may still be spawning but have been caught. a fair amount of trout streams have downed trees and debris from storms dating to last year & last week but most are fishing well. (support C&R especially with higher water temps!)small lures, or flies & nymphs are working well…TALL weeds, nettles, itchies, and big squitos abound. lakes in the waterville area are green with the bloom. LM bass from ol’ miss over to faribault has been good…finesse plastics of some kind if topwater or spinners don’t produce!
