The Mississippi River backwaters in the Wabasha area were something today. As compared to last Tuesday, they were up a solid foot and current was an issue in some of those we fished today.
West Newton has water running over the road now and a lot of current in the chute. Wilcox was up a lot from the last tour down there and not a fish was seen…by us or other anglers while we were there. Every place we went the water was colder than….well, you know.
We managed some small sunfish in one area, but that was the extent of four hours of casting this morning. Not Good.
