Got the chance to get out there for what looks to be the last time with work being the way it is. The weather was on our side for both days (3-19/3-20). We made it out on wed(3-19) at about 11 and fished for a few hours luck on our side we got into a nice pool of slabs. We cought a number of smaller ones and kept 10 good eaters. we left the ice about 2ish… Thursday we decided to try the early bit so we pulled in to the ice at about 615 and the fish were there. Thurday was a much better day we had 18 on the ice by 10 and we were throwin alot back as well. Had some decent perch around too. The closer to the bottom the more likely to catch a perch as in most cases. The bigger jigs worked the best for us with a green doodlebug the hot jig. all jigs tipped with a minnow. All in all it was a GREAT couple days on the ice. And the last couple days not to worry the boat is tied to the dock waiting
