Why is it that when im in an area of lots of shad I never catch any crappies during the ice season? Seems like in the fall if I find the shad, I can find the crappies. Ive found many holes that look like nice crappie spots and start marking suspended fish. When i drop a camera down all I see is shad. Crappies nowhere near. And ive come back to these spots several times throughout the winter thinking the crappies will come. They just never do.
