Well the boy and 4 friends did a cleanup at Foster yesterday afternoon for some credit for their Honors biology class at Mayo. I figured it was their credit and not mine so I fished for the couple hours they cleaned up.
Started by the fence north of the beach while I watched a couple of bikinis. Neither them or the fish were cooperating. Can’t believe 90F in early Oct. Lots of floating weed masses from their around the north shore up to the hitching post. The lake level is up and some of the lower trail on the north side is flooded. Ended up catching 2 rainbows and a largemouth bass all in the 12″ range on a #2 Mepps spinner. Got a little sunburn in the process too.
The boys had several bags of stuff and a canoe full of junk when they were done. The canoe and a couple long handled landing nets help get a bunch of near shore junk out. All in all just another beautiful day.

Thats great to see them helping out, plus getting credit for it.
