Fall is definately here. The leaves are staring to turn colors on some of the trees and you even find some leaves in your yard now too. Even the water temps have dropped into the mid to low 60s depending on the day. And just what does that all mean you may ask? Well for some it means hunting time, for some others it means time to put the pleasure boats and jet skis away, but for us fisherman whose hunting consist of ”hunting for fish” its time for some great fishing. The fish still have to eat and with dropping water temps it tells them its time to stock up on food as winter is getting alittle closer. It also tells fishermen its time to take a good look at what we need to replenish in our tackle boxes for the great fall fishing bite. Since its raining and alittle lightening is mixed in I decided today was a good day to stop out to Hooked On Fishing to get some more plastics. [sorry Mike about creating a couple empty plastics holders on the wall lol] Then after paying for them I noticed some jig eye busters [can never have enough of them] so just had to buy 2 [after all he has 2 different kinds] and since it seems like you can never find the pliers when you need them I had to get a couple of the surgical style ones as they work great on bullgills since they have small mouths. You know how how it goes [a guy can never have enough fish catchin weapons it seems] so you just can’t help yourself. And HOF’s prices are the same and even cheaper on somethings than the bigger stores too so its a GREAT place to shop. A person could even get out of the store alot faster as you don’t have to walk so far to get your goodies if it wasn’t for the fact that its such a great place to talk fishin with people who acturally fish the bodies of water that you fish. Fall is a time when the fish are hungry so be sure and stock up on what they want to eat at HOF [the place that carries what they bite on in our area and along with other areas too] and find out where the hot spots are too while you are there.
    Thanks, Bill

Just a heads up: HOF not only has some ice fishing rods ”on sale” right now he also has a ton of ice fishing jigs [which also work great in the spring, summer and fall] on display too. These aren’t sold in packages which means you can buy one of any different kinds you want or can buy as many as you want. You can mix and/or match all you want. Just thought I’d pass this along as I know some of you guys can’t wait for ice fishing to get here.
    Thanks, Bill
