The bigger gills and crappies are showing up which is a great sign that the fall bite is on. I fished this morning and caught my gills around docks with mini-mites and waxies free lining the jigs. Holding it pretty much still worked the best. The best crappies are in deep water wood. Some friends in a couple boats were working the wood I wanted to fish for crappies so I stayed out of there and dig some jig dragging with plastics instead. The water temp was 65 degrees which is alot better than the 80 degrees we had a few weeks ago. My estimate would be atleast 50 fish were caught which made for a very enjoyable morning on the water. Be sure and get out and enjoy the nice weather and catch some fish.
Thanks, Bill
