A few short years back James Holst, owner of IDA, asked Mike [HOF] Smith and I to create a Rochester Forum. We acepted the assignment, named it the Rochester Area Lakes & Rivers Forum, and started talking back and forth to each other on the new forum and started a journey of trying to provide fishing reports and other information about the waters in this area. There are alot of different bodies of water here but none as big and popular as the body of water that is 33 miles north of Rochester called Lake Pepin on pool 4 of the Mississippi River. So that mean’t we really had our work cut out for us. Over the past few years we have been blessed with some anglers who have posted and shared here on this forum. We also have been blessed with adding Ron [RHW] to join us on this forum as a staff person also. Two and then three people can only talk and share so much. This forum has grown at a very fast rate and now there are over 10,000 different posts made on the Rochester forum. And that has happened because of great members we have who have chosen to post and share here with us. ”Everyone” who has ever shared here has helped to make this forum what it is today. We have been blessed with not only people who live in the area sharing but also people who live outside of the area have come to see whats going on here and to share. And I would like to take the time to say THANK YOU to my partners and close friends Mike and Ron and to ALL of you who call this forum home and who have shared along with us so that hopefully everyone can enjoy their time on the water more. If just one person has been helped in some small way then the work put into this forum is well worth it. Thanks everyone for being a very valued part of IDA and for being a very valued part of the Rochester Area Lakes & Rivers Forum.
    Thanks, Bill

Thanks Bill and Mike for the Great reads and informative posts over the years.

With nearly 15,000 posts, YOU NEED TO TAKE a BREAK, and maybe go fishing or something… If you do, you don’t HAVE to make a report.

    Keep them coming….

Yes….thanks. I don’t live or fish in your area but I sure do love reading your crappie reports all the time and I love it Bill when you have reports about the granddaughter fishing too.
