Just got back from the Zumbro, fishing was really good. We were casting mini mites and the bulls were just inhaling them. We had our best luck when we would position our boat in 12 -14 ft of water and throw to the shore. The fish would come from the deeper water and grab the bait the haul AS- back to the deeper water with your jig. This was really cool to watch. We had alot of gills hitting the 9 inch mark and also found some 10 to 12 inch crappies mixed in. Hitting P-4 in the morning so have a great weekend.

Thanks for the report Joe. Gotta love those big gills and crappies that Lake Zumbro has been serving up!

The Bass have been a hard to come by.
The only thing we found was look for dirty water.
And still then you had to work for them.
BTW-Is it really clear from Postiers Point up or what!!
I bet you can see 10 feet or better!

Bass??? And here I thought after having your pic in the newspaper for fishing for the bullgills and crappies that Lake Zumbro is well known for that you were a converted bass fisherman for sure. The clearer water has really improved the fishing on the lake thats for sure. Well…maybe the bass fishing may get tougher because they can see you now so …..maybe you just need to stick with the bullgills Brad. Thanks for the report Joey. Glad to see you are getting down to Lake Zumbro too.

    Thanks, Bill
