During this time of the year my job is slow,so I always tell my boss that “today would be a good day to go fishing”,little does he that any day is a good day 
He usually just gives me smirk but Monday he said if I wanted to fishing I could. so I quickly made a call and with the high water I headed to one of my favorite shore spots. It was also a time to try some new jigs I made(tear drop deer hair jigs). tried several colors buy couldnt get them to take it good,so I switched to alot lighter jig (1/8 yellow chartruese fire cracker/yellow hair) and just dragged it back real slow and BAM my patients paid off 3.5lb sauger 
.A gentleman next to me was nice enuff to wiegh it for me.
It was the only fish in the 2 hours , but thats why they call it fishing.
STILL BEATS A GOOD DAY AT WORK
I cant wait for temps to rise …
