There have been lots of people fishing it. Still some nice trout being caught. They are taking fathead minnows, power bait, and waxies. Not many trying nightcrawlers yet??????

anyone been trying bucktails or spinners
Not that I’ve heard, but that certainly does not mean they aren’t worth trying.

March 31, 2007 at 2:50 pm #555394Reports say minnows 2 feet below a bobber are also catching trout too. Let us know how you do.
Thanks, BillMarch 31, 2007 at 5:31 pm #555431i will but it won’t be till tomorrow i am hoping that it won’t rain cause i gotta get my buddy out of his house cause his mom just died and i wanna help him get his mind of it for a while and have some fun but i don’t think he owns a single article of rain gear lol

March 31, 2007 at 9:05 pm #555465so we can use 2 rods out at foster? i was kinda curious about that cause i would love to put out a dead rod while i am doing some casting
March 31, 2007 at 9:13 pm #555468No you cannot use 2 rods at Foster Arends or any inland body of water! The confusion may be due to the fact that you can use 2 rods for ice fishing. Open water regulations state that only 1 rod may be used on inland waters, or 2 rods on boundary waters between Minnesota and Wisconsin (the Mississippi River).
March 31, 2007 at 10:27 pm #555488oh now ya got me disapointed i geuss i’ll just have to make it a longer day then
April 1, 2007 at 9:30 pm #545743well i went out today with the lil brother in laws and had one bit and didn’t get it cause i wasn’t paying attention to the bros rod and by the sounds of things from the couple pepole i talked to no one else was catching anything either oh well the brothers enjoyed it any way as did i atleast i got my open water fix now
April 1, 2007 at 10:42 pm #550288Thanks for the report Matt. The problem is that the fishin fixes don’t last very long. The good thing is we enjoy getting them no matter how the bite is. Keep those fishin fix reports coming. And of course, ENJOY them.
Thanks, BillApril 2, 2007 at 12:09 am #555758lol i will but i think my next outing will be trout opener and i will let you know how that excursion went and its always fun to get a younger generation out especially when they enjoy it no matter what and it makes me look forward to a couple years from when my sons should be old enough to hold a pole
April 2, 2007 at 1:36 am #555787Passing on the love of fishing is great. Very rewarding and you have fishin partners for life.
Thanks, BillApril 3, 2007 at 12:17 pm #556216Concerning 2 rods, after fishing on the ice with 2 rods and then fishing on the Mississippi River [pool 4] with 2 rods, I really feel like part of me is missing when only fishing with 1 rods on lakes. It really feels strange. Hopefully someday the DNR will change that rule so we can use 2 rods. When it comes to Fosters a deadstick with a tight line and being able to cast with the rod in our hands would be great. BUT until that day comes that the law/rule changes we will just have to limit ourselves to having fun fishing with one rod only.
Thanks, BillApril 4, 2007 at 10:24 am #556706i know how ya feel on that one bill
