How did you do Tyler? Or were you just out to play with the new rig to make sure everything is working and enjoy the new boat? Either way I’m sure it felt great to be on open water. There was one truck/boat trailer in the parking ramp at Ponderosa when I drove down there last evening around 5:20 and a couple at Sandy Point on Sunday when I checked things out.
    Thanks, Bill

I didn’t get on the water until nearly 6:00. I played a bit and fishing was secondary. The weather was so great, we just enjoyed that.

Found some crappies about 3′ down in 6FOW. Lots of wood around and deeper water nearby. Culprit paddletails of various colors worked well for us today. No monsters today, but I’d say 20 crapps over 10″ with 3 over 11″ (10-15 under 10″). 2 gills and 1 largie were taken as well.

    All fish were released

We put a fair share of white crappies in the boat today as well. The fish were hungry and they would hit often times as soon as my bait hit the water. The larger fish were more agressive and hit first. After about 15 fish, the size started to decrease (in this one particular area)

The largie smacked my bobber twice, so I raised my bait to about 4″ under my bobber and threw it back out and whammo! That was neat.
