I plan on getting out in the am at least, still had 12″ or so of ice once you got to it from shore.was out there late this afternoon and its a real trick to stay on your feet with the hundreds of holes drilled but not refreezing under the 5″ of slush, hopefully it will be cold enough to freeze the slush so you can stay on top of it in the morning saturday.saw some awesome trout caught today and was able to keep one for myself besides missing a couple hefty fish that i missed on the hookset.wear some tall waterproof boots when you venture out.jigs with minnows, waxies or powerbait was working today.good luck!!

The ice should still be good, but you’ll need to watch out for the holes that have opened in a couple areas where there are springs. Just keep your eyes open, use caution and you should be fine. Sounds like some mighty nice fish are being caught!

I fished Foster’s today. the ice is soft on top, but seems to be solid underneath. I did see one person put a leg through, I assume through an old hole – so you need to be careful. You’ll need to go out to the dock and get on the ice from the dock. There are still some very nice trout being caught!

The largest one I got was about 15 inches. Saw several between 14-16. It seems the real slobs are often right under the ice. Fathead minnows have been best, but jigging is also working well.

Its a good time to stock up on the ice fishin jigs and whatever else you guys are catching these trout on as they wiil work just as good when the ice goes out too. And the problem a guy finds after ice goes out is that the ice jigs and spoons are put away and the spring and suumer stuff is brought out to take its place on the shelves. HOF still has alot of goodies left in stock I’m sure cause Mike fishes these bodies of water alot that we all do so he always makes sure he has more than enough of the right stuff in stock for us.
    Thanks, Bill

um yesterday i didn’t do to well i got one little gill but i was only out for like to hours cause i had stuff to did and my kid to take care of but i decide today i would stop in there today and get some minnows and i did alittle better today i caught 2 14 inch rainbows and a 10 inch brooke and lost a pig right under the ice i was so mad and i missed a bunch right away this mourning because there weren’t really biting that hard i was fising over of the beach today in anywhere from about 2 feet to about 8 but i think it was those hooked on fishing fatheads that did the trick
