Crappie Tom Lake Zumbro Zinger Event info:

March 10 2007 Fishermans Inn Area Lake Zumbro

This is open to all, without fee. The gathering will take place in the same location as the IDA event, Fishermans Inn public piers. The hours are from anytime after 7:30 until whenever people feel like calling it a day.

There will be grills for those who want to bring some chow to broil and there is a porta-potti on the site for women and childrens convenience.

This is just fun fishing, with meeting some experienced anglers an extra bonus for those who are beginning this wonderful sport. I have always encouraged the novice adult with children to get to this event since it is within close proximity to Rochester, close to shore, close to the necessities and is held at a time when there will likely be a very decent fishery available. Like the ida event that Mike has put together, it is the fishing that gets promoted.

Good clean events, good people….now that’s fishing at its finest.

HOF is open at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow for all those heading out to the Zinger. We’ve got a great selection of those hard to find diamond ice jigs, and appear to be the only place in town with ice buster bobbers. We’ve got a fresh stock of waxies, spikes, and minnows too!

I need a new line of work, everytime there is an event I have to work I need to win the lottery, of course, then I guess I would have to start playing. Good luck out there sounds like fun!!

We sure had fun today. So many good people that share the same passion of ice fishing. Get them all together at the same time and how can it not be fun.

I thought I’d post a couple photos for ya to see from today.

Here we can clearly see some sort of stradegy being planned.

Upon further notice, I think Mike has a dead criiter on his melon.

Here’s a guy that can really catch catfish on Lake Zumbro. Nice one Scott. 26″ long.

Sure was a fun day! Good to see lots of guys and the weather was wonderful. The place crash was a bit bizarre. Glad no one got hurt, but the plane needed some repair.

My face got fried between the eyebrows and the beard. Now I have no beard, but a red hide. Mike, you should’a come across the bay. I had fish to clean tonight because of that move.

You invited me to the far side Tom but the boy and I headed to Foster and did zip there too. It was a beautiful day anyway. Got my stringers layed out for the steps today too.

I got my face fried at the IDA GTG so stayed off the ice this weekend. Face has been peeling like crazy and nose is still sore and red. Time to get the sunscreen out already. First time I have ever fried this early. Usually it doesn’t happen til much later. Sounds like it caught a few of us off guard this year.
    Thanks, Bill
