When they say in the timber they don’t really mean “in” the timber Bill

Doggoneit….who said that. I have an image to maintain.

Yuppers Bill….when the crappies begin to get the better of me, I go fish for the easy meal. Lets put it this way. When the crappies are making a fool of me, I try to catch a few sauger for a meal, but usually end up a Barlows picking up some pollack fillets…..also known as walleye but from Canuck’s-ville to the north and west of us.

Sorry Walleye Tom …I mean Sauger Tom….I mean Crappie Tom. Just couldn’t resist that one. Mike said I have been too quiet the last couple days so we can blame it on him. [just think Chris you didn’t get the blame for this one ] Poor Chris, he usually gets blamed for most things since Jake moved to Winona for going to college to learn how to catch fish.
    Thanks, Bill

Well, I guess we all figured 67 was pretty optimistic. They have trimmed it back to the low 50’s, but that still sounds mighty good! The water sure is starting to run from all the melting at just 40 degrees. This snow cover might be mostly gone within a week at this rate. Can open water be far off?
