Kevin Stauffer and John Meerbeck with the Lake City DNR will be speaking at the Walleye Searchers Feb. 5th meeting at the Eagle’s Club (old Elks Club) at 7:00 pm in Rochester, Mn.

The topics will be annual sampling on Pool 4 and the results of the sauger mortality study. Hope everyone can attend, it is always a very informative meeting for anyone who fishes Pool 4.

    Thanks, Bill

Hey, I can’t make it but could somebody please ask how much they think this cold weather will impact the shad population this year?
    Thanks, Chris

The cold will kill off some shad he said but there will still be plenty left. Because there are so much shad the fish are growing like crazy. This is the first time they have ever seen one year old fish being nine inches long. Thats right nine inches. Unreal. Gotta love pool 4.
    Thanks, Bill

Thanks Bill! Would love to see the DNR do a thorough one or two year study on shad dynamics.
