Cure for the Ice Fishing Blues

Ok…everyone is crying, including me, for what Mother Nature is doing to our good ice that we once had. All our expensive ice fishing equipment is crying to be used. Ok…here is the cure so we can enjoy our warmer temps and go ice fishing at the same time. All we have to do is go to a body of water that has public docks or a Marina and walk out on the docks and drill your holes in the ice and ice fish without even having to be on the ice. Sitting or standing on a dock ice fishing sure beats not being able to ice fish. This is a good safe way to ice fish. Just be sure and don’t let mother nature hear or see what we are doing or she will might get angry and melt the rest of the ice.
    Thanks, Bill

I just bought a snoblower for my Cub Cadet today, so I’m afraid you ice fisherman and snow lovers are in big trouble! It’s bound to get nice out now!

Maybe the “cure” is on the way…I heard the words “Artic Blast” in the forecast for the week beginning January 15. Let’s keep our fingers crossed anyway

as long as it waits until the 15th… planning my first trip down to Pool 4 on the 13th!!! Can’t get on the ice so I may as well wet the boat (still haven’t winterized it yet – guess now I know why I waited!).

I went ice fishing today – on 6 good solid inches of ice! There were even a few fish to be caught! If you really need to know where this was, send me a PM.

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

Bret, NO snow storms this year as I traded the Lund for an Alumacraft. But cheer up Bud. The new boat IS snow colored [white, ] But thats about as close to snow that you may get this year if this weather keeps up. But being in the part of the country that we live in and still have this month, then Feb., and then March which is known for the most snow month, we could get blasted yet. I’m not for snow, well alittle bit to make it easier towing the fishtrap on, but what I want is another real cold two weeks to get the thick safe ice back.
    Thanks, Bill
