some nice red lake crappies……..something interesting, we had 3 S.O.S down the whole time we thought we were having a regular bite in our rental. Then we found out from Kelly and jon Petrowske (the owners of the bussiness) that we had a exceptional bite in your house compared to any of the houses around us. Just crappies caught alone was 4 to 1. Could it have been the structure on a string. 1 word of warning though. Big northerns and sos’s don’t get along….we got lucky!!!!!!!!

How much ice was there up on Red? Ice was around 12 to 14 inches. They said under snow drifts it was only around 10 so avoid them if possible. Troy Pike

Sidecar, It was a good time. You guys fished hard and got rewarded for such. I also think the rods you make help big time, I could tell my minnow had acid reflux going on when I tried out the Crappie rod I got from you.

    Don’t forget this little feller

I’d have too agree with you that a good fishing rod is very important especialy when your jigging, and the wood handle just adds to the sensitivity. Glad you like your new custom rods jon. Thanks for the great time on the ice with you. Your one heck of a guide!!!! You and your family run a first class house rental service. Is that “little feller” the one you caught before we arrived? Thanks again, Troy Pike

Thanks for the report and pics Troy. Hopefully we see you around more than we have lately. You have been missed and so has that fish catchin daughter of yours who usually fishes with you. Nate and I had a good chat with your brother at HOF before the trip. Looks like you guys had alot of fun and had a spot on the spot for fish. Way to go.

    Thanks, Bill
