I’ve got a bottle of Dr. Juice panfish scent at home – bought it 3+ years ago. It’s been in the basement (60-65F) – am wondering if the stuff keeps or has a shelf life that has come and gone?

Took the cap off – it smells….

The cost of replacing it is cheaper than chancing having something that has spoiled mess up your fishing. I’d just toss it. I use cod liver oil and it has a shelf life of years and is cheap compared to “created” scents.

Garvi: Bad – stinky – rank, etc. Can’t remember what it smelled like when I got it.

    CT: Good idea.

I just read something about this.
The article said that most have a shelf life of 2-3 max. I would have to agree with just tossing it and buying a new jar.

Three years is pushing Jim. Especially if you pop the top and expose it to the air. It will get thick and pasty. Plus even a skunk will plug its nose.
If the product is fresh, it is excellent.
