Yesterday, Saturday, there were a bunch of guys ice fishing on the south side of the lake and a few on the north end. Stay away from the middle of the lake as its always weaker there and the swimming beach area has a big spring. As always, becarefull as its early yet and watch for any bad ice looking areas due to springs. Stay where the most are fishing for now and enjoy a day on the ice. Nate said that a bunch of guys who stopped in at HOF today were mostly headed for Fosters or Wilcox. Wishing everyone a great on the ice fish catchin year. Can you say: FISH ON!
    Thanks, Bill

ps. Please be sure and post how you do fishing at each outting as we ALL learn from each others sharing. Thanks.

I went to Fosters yesterday afternoon for a couple hours. Sure was great weather! The trout were also biting a little bit. Here is a picture of a typical 10-11 inch rainbow. There seem to be lots of this size.

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

Nice job Mike! Too bad we didn’t see you guys out there. We were fishing Foster’s on Saturday and Sunday. Similar sucsess as you. Here’s a picture of one Alex caught.

The lake looks good for ice skating don’t it? Most everywhere we measured ice we had around six inches or so.

Yes, it was a consistent 6 inches where I was. I am very glad that I had my ice creepers on my boots. Those creepers are only $4.99, inexpensive security against a serious fall on that slippery ice!

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

Hey Dan and Alex. How are you guys doing? That Alex sure is a good fisherman. He has alot of skill for a guy his age. Fosters had a good crowd on Saturday and alot of people on Sunday.

    Thanks, Bill
