Fall Multispieces Fishing On Lake Zumbro by Bill Cadwell
I had the pleasure of having Mike [HOF] and Ron [RHW] in the boat with me today for some multispieces fishing on Lake Zumbro. Read on to see what spieces were caught…
In the first pic you have Ron and a northern that he caught. Yep, those Mini-Mites tiped with a waxie that Ron was using will catch anything that you put that lure in front of. The second pic is of Mike with a fat thick striper that also was caught on a Mini-Mite.
The weather today was great and so was the fishing. Many doubles and many triples made for an interesting and fun day. All fish were caught in deep water jigging. Mike and Ron spent alot of time fishing specificly for gills and crappies while I fished bucktails mostly for big strippers. Its hard to beat the feel of a big striper on the end of your line when jigging in deep water.
Pic three is Ron with his favorite kind of fish to fish for. Hes a bluegill fishing geru in my mind who has a big passion for them. In pic four you find myself with a nice smallie caught on a bucktail jig. I sure wish I could stop time for about three months so I could spend alot more time this year on open water on the Zumbro. Theres just something about open water and fishing for many different spieces that makes it so much fun on the water. The forcast calls for some nice air temps this coming week so be sure and get out on the water because the colder temps come in the week after. Hope to see you on the water.
Thanks, Bill
