I had Mike F. build me a rod recently – a 6.5′ med-fast rod (spinning), and had Mike S. put a Okuma TP20 on it, along w/ 6# test Power Pro. Wanted something to use for walleye and to also work for throwing soft plastics for bass.
I had it out last weekend on one of the smaller area streams – got two NP, 1st at 24.5″ (firetiger spinner bait), the 2nd at 22″ (orange/gold rap minnow).
Both fish hammered my offering – two very nice “jolts” – no doubt what so ever that there was a bite.

I’ve been crazy about St. Croix rods for years. They are very sensitive rods and alot of fun to feel and catch fish on. Best rods around in my opinion.
