Lake Zumbro:
White bass (stripers) are running wild! Anything is likely to find them biting, but crappie minnows or smaller spinners seem to be best. Both bluegills and crappies are also being caught; usually they are suspended over deeper water. You should be able to use electronics to see what depth the fish are at, but a good general depth to fish is 6-10 ft. Small jigs like mini-mites tipped with a waxie or plain hooks with minnows should produce fish. Northerns, bass, and catfish are also being caught.
Foster Arend Lake:
Some trout are being caught. The fish have been in deep water. Minnows, powerbait, waxies on small jigs, nightcrawlers, small spinners, and small rapalas are worth trying. Some smaller crappies and sunfish are coming on crappie minnows or worms.
Chester Woods:
Bluegills and small bass are being caught, as well as some crappies and catfish. Try minnows, mini-mite jigs tipped with a waxie, or worms. The fish are usually around the 14-20 ft. level. Smaller bass are also being caught.
Willow Creek:
Fishing has been slow, but some bluegills are being caught. Bass are also being caught.
Country Club Manor pits:
Some panfish are being caught. Try minnows or small jigs tipped with a waxie.
Boy Scout (Gamehaven) Lake:
Some gills and crappies are being caught. Try small jigs tipped with a waxie under a bobber.
Mississippi backwaters:
Areas like Wilcox, West Newton, The Finger Lakes, and The Dike Road are producing crappies and bluegills. Try mini-mite jigs tipped with a waxie or minnows. Northerns and bass are also being caught.
