Chesterwoods Lake Update

Chesterwoods Lake has been putting out alot of bluegills and smaller bass lately. Casting Mini-Mites to the shoreline under a float [bobber] and pulling the bait towards you by popping it forward and then let it rest for a moment is taking alot of fish. The float helps to keep the bait out of the wood as theres alot of wood on the bottom in areas and alot of weeds out a short ways from the shoreline in alot of areas. This lake provides alot of action so its a perfect place to take the kids or just get out and enjoy some fun relaxing time on the water and catching fish too.

    Thanks, Bill

Here is a close up pic of a Mini-Mite jig. Hooked On Fishing Bait and Tackle in Rochester carries them.

Heres a pic with alittle better color to it as its not so close to the flash from the camers.

When the action slows just add a waxie. I buy mine by the tub from HOF.

i was there last friday morning. we caught alot of sunfish, most of them were smaller and we caught a few decent bass also on mini mites. we must of caught 75 sunfish. even though they were small it was still fun, most the fish were real shallow
