Ah, open water fishing again!!!

Finally got to open water fish again. Went out to Foster to kill some time. Got there at 9:00 and left at 1:30. Started off really slow. Around 11:30 things picked up. Missed about 6, but did catch 3 big ones, a 16, 17 and an 18. Let them all go, too big for pan frying and don’t like baked. As the sun got higher, the fish started biting. Saw some nice eater size, 12’s cruising up high close to the break. About a dozen other guys out there but too far away so I couldn’t see what they were doing.

Yes, below a bobber and experimented with depth. Anywhere from four to eight feet.
