Drive Carefully On The Slippery Roads

I am making this post to please remind people to drive carefull on roads this winter. A friend that I work with was killed last Saturday when his Tahoe came upon a froasted area on a 4 lane highway just south of Rochester and it started sliding and rolled through the meden [ditch between the two highways] and up onto the oncoming traffic and was hit by an oncoming car and landed in the ditch on the other side upside down. He was dead at the scene. He was on his way to do some stream trout fishing. This was a highway that was pretty clear for the most part but early in the mornings there are areas that are frosted over. Thats all it took was driving over a small frosted area. A person just never knows when his time is up so its very important to be sure your heart is right with the Lord. None of us has a guarantee of how long we will live on this earth. Spend time with your family and loved ones, make sure they know how much you love them, and be the kind of person that you want top be remembered for. Drive carefull.
    Thanks, Bill

We encountered frost covered roads on our way to Red Wing last Saturday. It’s NOTHING to screw with. I had the cruise set just below the speed limit and before I knew it, we were fish-tailing all over the road. With a trailer in tow, that’s not a lot of fun.

If it looks frost covered, chances are it is and it’s slippery. Take care and drive safe.

THAT IS ANOTHER REMINDER, ONLY USE THE CRUISE CONTROL ON DRY PAVEMENTS. BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY

    Bill,
Sorry for the loss of your friend.
As always a good reminder, particulary in a year like this when weather has been so unusual.
