Pikester and I left on Christmas eve night at around midnight. We hit every kind of weather you could find in the north on the way, it took us 8 hours to get to Shooks where we stayed. The resort owners at Red didn’t think it would be a good idea going out on Red with my big tank truck so we went to LOW for the first time for both of us all 3 days and I’m glad we did. Almost everyone we talked to who fished Red caught only walleye and had to throw them back. We stopped into hillmans on our last night out and one guy was there with his limit of crappies. Buddy said it was only the third person this ice season that has gotten their limit. Wow LOW is a beautiful place!!!! Fishing was slow for everyone we talked too. Pikester had a way with the walleye’s though or I would have starved!!! In 3 days fishing we caught about 19 walleye and saugers and an eelpout. Here’s a couple of pics of the trip. Nice report guys! Good to see you are getting out. Red will get better…it is just a matter of time.

Scott, I owe alot of my success to you. I was reading your posts about go-to jigs for LOTW and took your advise and bought some of the Red Glow Devils. The fish were extremely finiky and it took me awhile to figure out the presentation they liked but once I did that it was all over. Are you going to be up at Red or LOTW guiding anytime soon? Thanks again.
