Cold Fronts and Stubborn Fish/Fishermen

Cold fronts can mean stubborn fish but when us fisherman get stubborn too and go fishin anyway it can still be a great day to be on the water. There are no crowds, the fall colors are great, and its so peacefull. And the fish will bite after you tease them enough with your bait/lure. The fish are in a slower mood so you need to fish slower. This is the time to rely on your electronics. They will show you not only the depth but also where the cover is that the fish may be hiding in. Believe what you see. Its your underwater eyes and puts you down in the fish zone where they live. It shows you where they are, what they are relating to and where you need to put your bait/lure to catch them. Put the bait in their face and keep it there and they will bite.
    Thanks, Bill

Heres a pic I took while fishing Saturday at Lake Zumbro. Beautiful scenery. Vey peacefull, no crowds, and even though we had a cold front come through it was still a fun day on the water.

And the fish were still willing to bite with some teasing.

Keep putting the bait/lure in their face right where your electronics show you they should be and sooner or later the big ones are going to bite. In cold front conditions adjusting your presentation to a slower one to match the fishes mood pays off.
    Thanks, Bill
