Crappie Mike and I spent an afternoon playing hooky on Lake Zumbro catching different species of fish. Experimenting with colors and depth changes different species of fish were all caught on Mini-Mites tipped with a waxie. That made for an excellent day of fishing and fun. Below I will post some pics and to read more about the day and how fish were caught you may read the regular fishing report in the fishing report forum. Be sure and get out and enjoy the fall fishing.
    Thanks, Bill

This is a Red Horse fish. Notice how bright the red is in the tail.

Lake Zumbro is a great fishery full of several species of fish! A typical day of fishing may produce any of the following: bluegill, crappie, perch, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, white bass(striper), catfish, bullhead, carp, sucker, sheephead, northern, musky, and who knows what else!
It is a great lake to experiment and that is how to really learn new tactics and locations.

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

And hopefully many others who fish this body of water will start sharing here how they go about catching fish on Lake Zumbro. What techniques, lures/bait they use. Deep water, shallow water, structure etc. NOT looking for people to share hot spots, just how they catch fish.
    Thanks, Bill
