Ron and I spent about 5 hours on Zumbro today. The water temp is dropping quickly and it moved the fish to deeper water. We started fishing around 11:00 this morning at the same place in shallow water that produced last time. It was slow there and we decided to try another area with deeper water. That was a good move! The fish were active about 9 ft. down over deeper water. We fished that area for a couple hours before deciding to try the shallow area again, as the temp had warmed up. There were some fish up shallow, but we found more fish active in the deeper water in that same area. We got some real nice crappies out of the deeper water, largest being about 12 inches. Nice bluegills were being fairly cooperative, with Ron nailing a very nice 9 1/2 incher as the largest gill. Mini-mites tipped with a waxie were once again the fish producers.
It was another great day to be on the water!
Good Fishing,
Mike
