Summertime On The Water Memories

Well whether we like it or not September is here and the kids are back to school and we all some memories of fun on/in the water to remember. This thread is for sharing them.

Heres my youngest son Nate and Todd Peterson with a 3.8 lb. Smallie caught while fishing the Lake Zumbro Tuesday Night Bass Tournaments [now have been changed to Sunday AM 7-11].

Here is my oldest grandaughter Brianna Mulcahey with a big Carp.

Here is Brianna with a couple nice crappies.

Here is my youngest grandson Mitchell Severson with a fish he caught panfishing with me.

And another fish Mitchell caught.

Heres Mitchell ”Walleye Warrior” Severson with a plaque he won while fishing with Uncle Nate Cadwell for placing 2nd. in a Walleye Tournament.

Even got the girl’s mom, my youngest daughter Chasity, out fishing too.

Heres Don Hanson at a ARM Event [taking kids fishing] we did in Wisconsin.

And Bob Johnston and his wife helped us out at the ARM Event in Wisconsin.

Mike ”HOF” Smith who owns Hooked On Fishing Bait and Tackle in Rochester with a bluegill caught while we were fishing Lake Zumbro.

Heres Ron [RHW] with a nice fish caught on Lake Zumbro.

Those are some great pics ,and alot of great memories that will last for ever.Really thats whats its all about.

Even fun on the water can be other than fishing too. Heres my grandkids feeding the ducks at Lake City.

The ducks were really racing to get the bread the girls were throwing them. Sure made for a very exciting part of the day for the girls.

VERY nice Northern Chris caught. This guy is a Lake Zumbro Northern Geru in my book. As Mike said Chris has caught alot of nice ones from Lake Zumbro.

Watching the ducks rush for the food was exciting. These ducks weren’t afraid of the boat at all. Dinner Time!

And of course a lake is made for swimming.

Jaclyn, Abby [my two youngest grandaughters] and their dog Charlie.

I have never seen a dog like water so much as Charlie. He would run continously back and forth on the beech edge of the water in the water and any waves that came to shore he would stick his face into them. Charlie is a german shepperd with a very smart/well trained background of parents and grandparents. Very smart dog and does a very good job of making sure the girls are safe and sound. He would swim from girl to girl to make sure they were ok in the water. And hes only a puppy yet. He will weigh 80 lbs when full grown. Sure glad he likes me. lol. When the girls go back to school Charlie also will go back to Wisconsin where he came from for 2 weeks of school taught by the people who raise and train these dogs. Notice Charlies head in the left side of the pic swimming over to one of the girls to make sure they are ok.

Pic of a bluegill I caught while fishing the backwaters at Wabasha, Mn. Very relaxing and peacefull back there.

Another gill caught in the backwaters. Wabasha has alot of backwater areas that hold some really nice fish. Great for jon boats and small regular fishing boats.

My grandson Mason with a prize he won for the big trout he caught in the ice fishing contest at Foster Arends Lake. He won first place in his age division.

A buddy of Iowa came up and we did some walleye fishing on the Mississippi River.
