We’ll have to change it to the Sunday morning Report.

    9-4-05 Zumbro tourney.

Eric R. and Mike Beck 5 bass for 10+

Ken Stock and brother 3 for 5-15

    Matt Pretzer 3 for 5-10

BB ER and MB 3 lb. Smallie

We had 5 boats this morning. Not a bad turnout for Sunday morning. Fish were snapping if you were around them and using the right bait. I actually caught some bluegills on the bass gear along with a few decent sized white bass.

9-11-05 Sunday AM Lake Zumbro Fishing Derby

Kennny Stock Solo 4 bass for 6-1
Dan Christopersen Solo 3 for 5-2
ER and Mike Beck 4 for 4-14

    BB, Dan Christopersen 2-4

There was nine boats today. The sun was hign in the sky and the temps. were on the rise again today. No limits brought in and the action was ok as far as bass fishing goes. I think most also caught alot of 10-11″ bass. They seem to be plentiful.
The white bass are still on a terror. If you are looking to catch some of those it should be a snap. Go to the cleaner end of the lake and troll what ever you like over 15-20 FOW. In certain areas we couldn’t even reel in without getting bit and having 5 or six follow the bait to the boat. Decent ones too.

Thanks Eric. Nate and Todd didn’t make it as Todd had a tire on the trailer break off right by the corner where you turn off 52 to Oronoco so the boat is at S and M Marine. I take it that ER means you on the 3rd place position. [You are usually in the top three.]
    Thanks, Bill

Oct. 8th Brad. Hang in there Bud, things will get better. With rain both Sat and Sun it has to affect the fish. I wonder how the guys did who fished the Team Supreme last Sunday at Alma? Anybody hear? [thats where some of the guys were and the rest were probably at home where it was dry].
    Thanks, Bill

My understanding is the Sunday morning tourny is open to all, correct? What are the times?

I think I read the fee is $20 – is that per person or
    boat?

    Ponderosa landing?

    Thks

Yes,it’s open to all.Two person per boat max.One person can fish alone and several do.It’s usually 7-11am in Sept.Sometimes it’s moved out 7.30-11.30 or 12 as daylight allows. The ending time is often decided by the people fishing that day.$20 per boat $5 of that is for bigbass. No live bait,no trolling. 12in min.Largemouth only now as the season allows.Leave and weigh-in at Fishermans Inn.I haven’t been out on a Sunday this year,so this is open to corrections by anyone more involved or knowledgeable.

How did everyone do Eric? I was down to the Mississippi River this past weekend and the same pretty much next weekend [Friday and Sat.] then four grandkids watching me the rest of the weekend so I will miss the weighin. Nate is down at the Mississippi River both weekends too so please keep us up to date Bud. Thanks.
    Thanks, Bill

There was 4 boats. MR Gravenhoff won it with a limit of LM for 8+ lb. It only paided back one spot. The rest of us only had one or two a piece.
Everyone fishing did real well on the smallmouth. The white bass are still going nuts too. Water temp. was around 63 +/- a few degrees.

About time! (very funny Bill! )
I finally stumbled upon some decent fish.
Thay were not stacked up by any means, but if you got it in front of there face they took it. They didnt slam it,but anything that didnt feel quite right, set the hook.
We got one here and there the biggest ones came way down river in anywere from 1-20 ft.,they were scattered.
I think one off the keys was a SLOW presentation. I have a hard time fishing that way but thats what it took.
It definately felt good to catch some fish again,I’ve had a terribly slow year out there compared others.
Hopefully as the water cools even more the big mamas will put on the feedbag!
By the way,the best part was taking Erics money!!!!

Brad, don’t you know its not nice to take Erics money? He will be out there to get revenge by kicking you where I see you have a bad sunburn. You never did answer my question as to which ”boat” caught the fish?
    Thanks, Bill

Oh spare me MR. You’re such a helmet. Its about time anyway. Congrats on being such a trooper though. Most anyone else would have sold there boat and quit fishing after as many kickings you have taken. You probably cheated anyways.
All kidding aside, you rule. Good luck this next week. I can’t make it. Tourney on the river.
