Went out to chester woods on sunday morning and had a blast catching one large gill after another. We kepth a dozen eaters between 8 1/2 to 9 1/2 inches and man were they thick. We were in between 30 and 35 fow fishing 16 to 20 feet deep and we could not keep them off the hook. Just a simple chunk of crawler or a waxie both seemed to produce about the same. If you got to shallow the fish got smaller quickly. Even after we kept our dozen we fished for another hour just catch and release because we were having so much fun. Even got to see my buddies wife do the swim leg of the wild onion triathalon. Look for a tree and don’t be afraid to go deep.
